Hey guys, I saw the above picture in my lecture a few days ago, just wanted to ask, what is the significance of the word "methane" in that picture?

I assume the Red, Green, Blue, Violet are the colour filters used to obtain that image?

Not colour filters, but wavelengths, im presuming that methane has its own wavelength properties, but i will stand corrected.
