If there has been so many wise men against it, even men you follow or look up to, nobody seems to really understand the idea of non-hating:

"Hatred does not cease in this world by hating, but by not hating; this is an eternal truth"
    ~ Buddha

"Hate is too great a burden to bear. It injures the hater more than it injures the hated."
    ~ Coretta Scott King

"Like hatred, jealousy is forbidden by the laws of life because it is essentially destructive"
    ~ Alexis Carrel

"Hatred is the madness of the heart"
    ~ Lord Byron

"Better a meal of vegetables where there is love than a fattened calf with hatred"
    ~ Proverbs 15:17

"Hatred stirreth up strifes, but love covereth all sins"
    ~ Proverbs 10:12

"We must remember that any oppression, any injustice, any hatred, is a wedge designed to attack our civilization"
    ~ Franklin D. Roosevelt

"When we don't know who to hate, we hate ourselves."
    ~ Chuck Palahniuk

"Hatred is the coward's revenge for being intimidated."
    ~ George Bernard Shaw

"It is easy to hate and it is difficult to love. This is how the whole scheme of things works. All good things are difficult to achieve; and bad things are very easy to get."
    ~ Rene Descartes

"Hatred paralyses life; love releases it. Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it. Hatred darkens life; love illuminates it."
    ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

"A true man hates no one."
    ~ Napoleon Bonaparte

"If you hate a person, you hate something in him that is part of yourself. What isn't part of ourselves doesn't disturb us"
    ~ Hermann Hesse

"The price of hating other human beings is loving one's self less"
    anonymous

"Love blinds us to faults, hatred to virtues"
    anonymous

Just something for us to think about, I´d like to hear your ideas on this matter...

I can think of many more such words of wisdom, but I'm kinda' tired.

Oh, geez, I thought the tread was about interesting sayings. But now I see that it's about lovey-dovey, gushingly childish, mostly-useless sayings that everyone spouts, but so very few act on.

    Osho said that in 1985.

And is correct, love and hate are two sides of the same coin, it is the same energy although canalized in opposite directions.
The question here is why our body harms itself when in anger state?
If our brain is the root of emotions, why should you let something external to you, harm you voluntarily?

I don´t think the people in your quotes knew what love truly is (=

I am sure i have not ever hated any one, wanted to kill them may be,
the i only reason not to was loss of freedom, so as yet i have had no
    reason to loose it.

Not wanting to derail the thread, but you should start a thread ...What is hate exactly? Is it just thought, emotion? Or does it have to manifest itself only in violence of some kind?

But back to the thread; Some people may not like hate and/or judgement, but it's something that's natural for humans to do ....else they wouldn't do it so fuckin' much!

I totally agree with the quote that hate injures the hater more than it injures the hated.

My Mom alway said (and she probably stole it from someone)

"Hate is a hot coal. You hold it in your hand, waiting to throw it at the person you hate. Meanwhile, it is burning your hand and they are oblivious or could care less"

Or you could just hold the piece of hot coal in some forceps or something. that way you don't burn your hand. You could even use the forceps to dip the coal back into the fire to keep it warm as you wait for your hated.
