I'd say that it couldn't be a real advertisement, but it is too well done to be a fake IMO. I have a very dark sense of humor, but I cannot laugh at that. I guess I like cats too much to think it is funny. It looks like a UK plate on the car, I guess it is a British ad?
Faked, there's another in similar tone about that model of car where a seagull is batted out of the way by the bonnet after attempting to shit on the freshly-washed car. Ford (?) complained after the videos were virally marketed around the net.
I've seen that one also, it was a pigeon. I didn't mind that one, damn flying rats anyway. What motivation would someone have to make a false advertisement like that? Edit: It isn't clear whether they disowned the ad after a negative reaction, or never meant to approve it at all. The actual adverts shown (although I can't for the life of me remember what they were Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!D ), promoted it as "the evil car" (i.e. it wasn't an everyday, run of the mill, family, no-personality model) and were in roughly the same vein (although not so bloody!). The motivation? Because someone could, and they fitted in quite well with the tone of the aired ads, I'd say.
