A Long Island couple could go to jail after they were ordered to keep their young daughters quiet.

William and Rachel Poczatek were hit with a notice of violation after neighbors complained about the couple's daughters, aged 5 and 11, who they said played too loudly around the family's backyard pool.

I can see both sides on this one. On the one hand I love kids and love to hear them laugh. But incessant screaming gets old really fast.

...and it would be absurd for anyone to show up at that absurd trial of individual rights! Jail time? Hah!

Am I the only one to notice that, since this is the first such case in the area, that those kids must have been pretty damned loud? If it was just shitty neighbors, such complaints would not have been so unusual, right?

What we have here is kids who haven't been taught proper behavior ...simple as that.

Which is exactly why I said what I did - better parents needed.
