Have you ever lost some thing, some thing you thought impossible to loose,
(not that) i mean an object.
This week i have lost a mobile phone, it was kept for emergencies only, in a
body warmer zip up pocket, the body warmer is only ever used for work, so
i put it on at home and do not take it off until i get back home.
Also i have lost my favorite glass, obviously this never leaves the house, and
yet i have searched high and low for it, it just is not here any more.
Then there is the socks, i have a draw full of odd socks, the socks are only ever on my feet, in my sock draw or in the wash, i should be able to find a
    lost one but never do.
As any logical person can see the above losses are very improbable, but
obviously possible, i rule out any paranormal involvement, so what is left?

Yes every one has at one time misplaced some thing, but if the loss area is
small one should find it, the only things that leave my house are the rubbish
and me, i am sure i do not put things like mobile phones and socks in the rubbish, and i am sure i do not take odd socks out of the house.

I have "lost" things and come across them in a old coat, a storage bin or a dresser drawer YEARS later.
Given that, I am also sure that some of the things I lost, were thrown away or given to good will by mistake.
Others were likely borrowed and misplaced and forgotten about or mistakenly thrown out by someone else.
Still others have been stolen (or fallen out of a pocket and found) never to be returned.

By the way, washing machines and dryers eat socks - they are small and slip behind the drums and into the mechanisms.

Still other things are stolen by trickster Gods and sprites that like to fuck with humans.

Why should a washing machine just eat socks? the smallest items to be washed are hankies, i have some over ten yrs old, so how come they never get eaten.

Hahahaha, I got one of my socks stolen at a track meet once. It was sweaty and smelly and alone. Maybe there is a chain of people who lose a sock so must steal a sock
