What they need is for Congress to stop imposing arbitrary timetables!

    OR

This was God's punishment to Kansans for rejecting the Truth of Creation.

    ---

Which reasoning is going to be proffered first, do you think?

I'm sure that with your thoughts, they'll be able to rebuild the entire town.

Really, you're just too fuckin' generous.

F5's are scary things. As a Kansan I appreciate everyone's concern! I'm on the far northeastern side of the state in Kansas City, about 3 or 4 hours east of the worst tornadoes. We just keep getting torrential rains and storms, no tornadoes yet. You get used to them here.
Though my step grandmother of 90 lives just 10 miles north of Greensburg, the town wiped out by the F5. She is too old to navigate basement steps so a neighbor took her into their cellar during the 3 days of bad weather.
People in that part of the state have low incomes that rely on farming and livestock. They really do need help in any form.

Obviously, no one should live in Kansas.

But it's like earthquakes. How many earthquakes have destroyed entire towns or cities in California and how many people live there? Hurricanes are far more devastating than either. Though tornadoes produce winds up to 300 mph, far stronger than a hurricane even gets close to, tornadoes are very localized. They are harmless. Only because we build do they become something to fear. A hurricane can destroy an entire state. The worst tornado can rip a line through a few states at it's worst a mile wide. I'd rather ride out a twister than a hurricane anyday.
What makes me sick are yahoo's that come from outta state HOPING for tornadoes to film, for the thrill.

The Phelp's church already has said God is punishing Kansas for it's embracing of homodom. They are also picketing the funerals of the dead according to local news. Gotta love them Christians.

God sure loves them, though I think those leviticus loving zealots are sort of missing the message of Jesus.

Genji, why do you say EYE? It's very distracting.

It's embarrassing and Roman will pick on me again but.....I don't know how to use emphasis on words! You know, make the word I look like I'm saying it with inflection. So I say EYE. You won't have to tolerate it long, I'm gone May 30th for good.

Genji, have you ever heard of italics, bold or underline? It's fantastic.

Sigh. My point francois. I don't know how to do italics or underline. I have tried and a string of jubberish appears in the post instead.

underline = stuff, but put a /right before the last u (like when you're linking or quoting- [/ ].
italics uses i's instead of u, bold uses b's, and strikethrough uses s.

If that's *still* too complicated you could use asterisks around the words you wish to emphasize.
