"Peace in our time." - Neville Chamberlain, in 1937 waving a piece of paper signed by Adolph Hitler, promising to make nice if only England will sign the Sudetenland over to Germany, which the appeasing allies did, much to their disgrace and ultimate dismay.

You see, feeding the crocodile does not mean he will not come back for you later, when he is even bigger and stronger.

Today's pacifists pretend that they are noble and good. Nothing could be further from the truth. Gandhi has many followers to his appeasing cowardice. Had we listened to them, we would now all be Nazis.

Incidentally, the words "Nazi" and "fascist" are terribly overused by the left.
In fact, communist Joe Stalin signed the Non Agression Pact with Adolph Hitler. They were pals. Only Hitler broke it and invaded Russia.

"Pacifism is objectively pro-fascist. This is elementary common sense. If you hamper the war effort of one side you automatically help out that of the other." --George Orwell

People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf." - George Orwell

“Take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence
encourages the tormentor, never the tormented." - Elie Wiesel accepting the 1986 Nobel Peace Prize

“There are only two kinds of people, decent and indecent.” - Elie Wiesel

IF leftist pacifists truly believed what they prattled, they would never lock their car or residence doors.

But they just mouth inane platitudes.

"Truth to a liberal is like Kryptonite to Superman." - Larry Elder

Suely you have some point, other than a general statement about pacifists.

I think a point floating underneath all of those statements is that while peace is good, we should not consider "peace at all costs". As far as that last statement, I know more than a few liberals who have no problem dealing with truths.

Yeah, you are so right - militarism and army glorification will save us all from the evil. there was plenty of those in the nazi Germany and USSR. But of course, if militarism etc. is american, that makes it right and holy savior of Universe.

America saved Europe and arguably the world from the Nazis.
    Do you condemn those actions?

America has been the premiere force for the good of mankind throughout the world for at least the last sixty years.

Although you may condemn JFK's and LBJ's and the Democrat congress's actions in Vietnam, all you need to do is consider the plight of the Vietnamese themselves since, and how many fled their fatherland to become Boat People or else dead.

How convenient it is to malign the system that has given you and so many so much. You talk like a petulant and very spoiled child. You've drunk liberal Kool Aid given you by Jane Fonda, Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid.

"Peace in our time." - Neville Chamberlain

america did not save europe. america did not save the pacific, and america most certainly didnt save africa. america has been the premier force in the last 60 years, but if you think it has been for the better, then why dont you go visit the peace memorial in hiroshima, or take a walk down the street in iraq.

America definitely saved Europe's ass in WWII. By the end of the war, the US was outproducing all other forces combined.

Yes, I defintely agree America has done the world good IN THE PAST, however, this has gotten to it's political leaders' heads and now it is too ambitious and they are no longer liberators, now they are conquerers (I use the term loosely).

roman are you european or american cuz you sure are in love with this shithole called america

Thanks to liberals, and their economic policies. And before you yell about Republicans, we have liberals in the party to, and there are just as dangerous to the country as the Demorats let alone the liberal wing of their party, we call them RINOs.
