Although I was annoyed when they rebranded them to 'Snickers' as they had been called 'Marathon' before that, and I thought 'Snickers' was too Americanised. I forgave them though, and still buy the occasional one. They are a must have for when I am snowboarding, or hill walking.

For the best candies one would need to go back in time to the good ole USSR. Soviet economy didn't bother itself with margins of profit so candy producers used NO chemical crap and other substitutes while the price was quite affordable. You, in the West and elsewhere, are candy deprived, whatever you can buy is just HFCS saturated crap with bunch of chemistry. Unfortunately, "it's all about profit" attitude spread around the world. Some soviet brands of candies are still around, but one can taste the heavy hand of economic efficiency there.
