    Wikipedia (aka God) says:

"Anti-gravity is the idea of creating a place or object that is free from the force of gravity. It does not refer to countering the gravitational force by an equal and opposite force as a helicopter does; instead, anti-gravity requires that the fundamental causes of the force be made either not present or not applicable to the place or object through some kind of intervention, be it technological or supernatural."

Is it in our future or are we always going to find the force of gravity effects any object? Do you have a method to counteract gravity? Do you know of someone that does? Can you say you believe it's impossible? Comments are welcome.

I believe that negative mass/energy will result in negative gravity.

Anything that exists must have mass, so what are you referring to?

Was breaking the sound barrier 'possible' 100 years ago?

    Yes.

The end of whips travel faster than sound, so it was broken routinely.

The awnser would be yes! breaking gravity of a given bodie can be accomplished, you can do this in your home, and you do it every day
if you thrwo a ball up into the air you have broken gravity. just traveling a few miles per hour a surface of earth you have broken gravitys hold.

Was just set to say absolutely not possible, but my portable is now stuck against the ceiling.

Perhaps you accidentally deleted the Higgs bosoms in your portable, Billy T.

I'm voting for "gravity can't be manipulated". Even if we do find the full quantum theory of gravity, it isn't clear to me that we could actually manipulate gravity.

Sorry Dwayne. You've simply given the ball some kinetic energy. Gravity isn't "broken" because gravity acts on the ball through its full trajectory.

these poll choices arent independant of each other. Could I have voted more than once?

Well if gravity is not "broken" then why does the ball move at all?

unless the ball is trown fasther then the escape velocity then earthsgravity is not broken . Perhaps you chould think why the ball comes back afther you trow it up.

according to wiki around 70% of the universe expresses anti gravity forces in the forme of negative pressure (70% being the amount of dark energy)
