Dubbing I think it's called. I'm thinking of when somebody gets knighted. They put the sword on each of their shoulders.

I think it's called a 'killing blow' or 'finishing move' as sword cresting across those areas is usually lethal.

    Oooh, I've been reported.

You deserved what you got, as your post was insulting to people who receive honours, and unthinking as to what they did to be awarded them.

But hey, go piss in some charity boxes and dump on some graves if you like, that seems to be your level.

so you are telling me that elton john and ozzy osbourne should be knights?

    puhhhhleeze!!!
it is an outdated, masturbatory practice designed to keep britons loyal to a nation that has betrayed their interests, by instilling a sense of "honor" to paul mccartney for playing a bass guitar badly.

*looks for the nearest charity box*

No, but many of the honours are well deserved, including the one I saw bestowed, so you were being far too general, and generally insulting.

    the sentiment remains.
honestly, think about what is perpetuated by ceremonies of this nature.
purely masturbatory (the best word for how i feel on the subject).

Do they still do the "last blow without just recourse"? That's probably the only way i'd let them do me the honour.
