Perhaps because it's "Earth Day", they are implying that Earth's ice caps are melting.

An odd commemoration, it seems, but they could be feeling fatalistic.

Maybe Tuesday is Earth day.

 

In french Tuesday translates "Mardi" so I think its for Mars. I think Tuesday comes from some equivalent of the god Mars.
