What happens after the Coalition forces leave Iraq? Manipulation of the press is just part of the problem. Their political structure seems to be intended to ensure only the violent factions of Iraq will have a voice. Iraq is at a critical moment in its history. The political structure of the Iraqi Government is severely flawed and it allows violent factions to run the country of Iraq despite the desires of the Iraqi peoples. There is a practical method to eliminate all corruption for the Iraqi Government. Province Elected Doctors of Science to Manage the Iraqi National Security Agency h t t p : / / blog.360.yahoo.com/jamesbdunn2?p=43 The basic problem is that the people have no voice. Violent and affluent factions manipulate the representatives of the government, and the government controls the people. If you look at the United States, we have a similar problem with big business corrupting our politicians. Cheney illegally allocating over $12 billion dollars to Halliburton for example. We need State elected ethical management of the NSA to stop all political corruption here in the United States as well. h t t p : / / blog.360.yahoo.com/jamesbdunn?p=57 But what happens after the Coallition leaves Iraq? This sounds like a foot hold situation similar to what is happening in Indonesia. There is a faction of Islamic fundementalists that have taken control of the voting in their government in only 2 years. There are more Islamic peoples in Indonesia than all of the Middle East combined. If they can do this in 2 years, the people of Iraq will have no hope under the current political structure. James Dunn
What does that mean exactly? And where in the world do "the people" have "a voice"? That terminology has always bothered me. What does it mean not to have a voice? ...like no voting rights? ...or that a few protesters can't protest things? ...or that newspapers can't write about issues? What does it mean not to have a voice? A voice about what? And when? And how? Baron Max
Coalition? Is there anyone left except the US? Best case scenereo, it will be an Islamic Republic marked by violence, worse case, it will be an Islamic Theocracy marked by genocide.

As far as I know, the only one manipulating the press in Iraq is the United States. They have been shutting down opposition newspapers.
When the Coalition troops leave Iraq, there will be a civil war in Iraq. It is inevitable. I'd much rather our forces not be in the middle of the inevitable civil war than in the middle of it, fighting members on both sides of the conflict. Let Saudi Arabia and Iran fight it's proxy war. I don't want America sticking it's snout in it when it will bring unnecessary harm to our troops.
Yeah we should have pulled out of there a long time ago! The whole thing is turned into a spiraling mess.
I gues unless someone does the effort to actually check it, it's going to be a land of milk an honey with chocolat rivers and children playing and singing on the street. What actually happend afther the americans left vietnam it isn't much discused but they end up pretty okay
Yeah, after millions of South Vietnamese were killed because they didn't want a socialistic/communistic society. Is that what you call "pretty okay"? To be forced to live under a governmental system that you don't like or want? To be forced into labor camps and "re-education camps" to force you to become a communist? "Pretty okay"??? Baron Max
I suggest this solution, which is the same a colleague of mine suggested. We gather up all the straw in the world... Spread it over the middle-east, a few feet thick... Get a match... Or other device which your mother says you can't play with... And burn the entire middle-east to the ground. If you want something cheaper then straw, lets try a maddox solution. Lets just layer the entire damn place with pennies dropped from 12,000 feet.
There already is a civil war going on. Psssh, don't act like you care. You've already said it yourselves other civilian lives don't matter, only our U.S. ones do. Go ahead and try and save face for the U.S. military by not wanting to leave, but don't try and turn this into a morality issue on things you don't even believe in. When someone has to bring up morals to justify something, that's when you can tell they're full of shit. - N
