i consider 0 to mean nothing, as in you have no apples, particles, coins, atoms, stones or blue romans. peace.
so if we consider the universe in a mathematical way, that means there must always have been something to produce something else, you cannot multiply or expand if you do not have to begin with. so non existence + non existence = non existence, but existence bieng infinite + existence bieng infinite = the universe today. I kinda viewed it like the universe occupying a dimension. Somehow this dimension (which contained nothing) suddenly had matter and energy. Wouldn't that suggest it came from outside the 0?
Not that it's remotely valid to make use of such a metaphor but, essentially, I'd say you're correct here. However, the significant factor here is how one defines 'exist'. As all tautologies are, though valid, this is pointless.
