Hello, Im 19 and would like you all to reccomend some good books that would you would consider a "Must" to read for someone looking to enhance their view on life. Your time is Appreciated.
No no, for the love of god don't read The Bible or Dianetics. you'll loose your mind that way (if you have one). I can't believe they've taken a serious thread and turned it into yet another joke, what were they thinking  then again what am I thinking?! I don't know of any books that will give you a better perspective on life, the only thing that might is reading my blog http://niceguysneverfinish.blogspot.com/ then maybe you'll come to appreciate yours abit more. I mean dear lord my life is horrible, it's so terribly bad you'll love every minute of yours. Welcome to my world.
"The Blank Slate" by Stephen Pinker "The Road to Serfdom" by Friedrich A. Hayek "A Short History of Nearly Everything" by Bill Bryson "Cosmos" by Carl Sagan "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand "The Selfish Gene" by Richard Dawkins "The Red Queen" by Matt Ridley "Nurture Assumption" by Judith Harris These are all books that everyone should have to read. You will enjoy them all, and they will point you towards other tomes.
The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan 1984 by George Orwell Rich Man, Poor Man by Irwin Shaw Hell, I don't know. Go to a bookstore and stay a while.
Im intrested in everything that has something to do with enhancing my viewpoint on life, something that is real, something that I can bite into. Something to assist me in life, to make me more of a compassionate person, something that will me more of a well-rounded person. Something that you wish you had read when you were 19 because It could have helped you out through all these years kinda book.
to be truthful the books that really matter are: science, engineering, and math. Read and understand Calculus I, II, III and thereafter. Go into the world of mathematics. Read books on how to program in C language. this is what matters.
