    This is possibly the coolest website ever.

    It is basically GoogleEarth, except for the universe.

    Celestia is similar to that except its a program and you can navigate in three dimensions across the galaxy. I think you can even download textures for planets and satellites. Check it out:

    It's crap. I searched for 'North Star' and it directed me to something called "α UMi (Polaris)". Which isn't even English, I don't think.

    I think I'll stick with this, celestially inaccurate though it may be.

    "Polaris" is the real name of what is more commonly called the "North Star". It's the same star. Just like you won't find "Big Dipper" in an astronomy book.
