http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1715504 When I saw this video for the first time it struck me how similar our early universe must have formed, at least how we understand it today. As the water balloon breaks there is a solid sheet of water, then as it expands 'voids' appear to form with membranes of water connecting them (much like hypothesized strings which galaxies are thought to gather around). Then as more time passes individual water droplets move independently much like the galaxies we see today. It amazes me how our universe works, in both the big and the small.
