Newt, like most politicians, is extremely wealthy and lives in a different society from the masses. Why would you expect him to make choices like a normal person? The political class is aware of its differences with the commoners, yet idiots continue to play the game of democracy and are unable to field a sensible candidate or third party that represents the will of the people.
