My post correcting the grammar and punctuation of the OP in the "The Only Thing Worth Discussing" thread in philosophy was removed. This was directly related to the selfrighteous nature of the OP. There was no cursing or calling of names. Simple grammer corrections. What gives?
Not deleting posts with ironic content that is directly related to the topic. Fuck. That's not excessive. Only one.
Ha! I have an infraction for insulting other members. Bet you never got one. Besides, I don't care if my posts are deleted. I'm not interested in posterity.
Wrong. I have one for inappropriate language. And it's not about posterity. My style involves using irony, humor, and sarcasm as well as reasoned arguements (as you well know). There was ZERO offensive in my post. Why bother writing a post if it can be summarily deleted? Let us all become like the air-hockey robot. I hear and obey...
Inappropriate language? *sniff* How Ms Manners! Spider has Politics, World Events and General Philosophy (what was he thinking?) He has to establish precedence. You're it.Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Sorry about deleting your comments on language, I only meant to remove the stuff on HTML, as it was off topic.
But, but, it's my understanding, and correct me if I'm wrong, that, and I remember Xev admitting as much, that a moderator can delete, yes, but also undelete because moderators have access to a secret door to the forum backstage where you get to play around with weird and neat shit like a check box that will "delete" or reinstate a post.
posts deleted by users or moderators are still stored on the server and can be seen/restored by mods. i think only admins can completely remove posts.
