After laughing till we cried and our lungs hurt, me and some friends in college walked out of Borat friday night kinda glad we went. For those not familiar, just google search Borat and go nuts. Essential information, he's really an englishman, and really jewish, although his charachter Borat is heavily anti-semetic, to say the least. But the movie portrayed Kazakhstan in such a stereotypical, 3rd world, soviet-bloc way that I had to look into it a bit more. 96%?! get out out of here... it was technically a low-budget flick but somehow it scores better than most big-budgets... brilliant...
I want to see this movie. So far it's got extremely good reviews from what I've heard. But it's extremely crude humor. Not a movie to see with the girlfriend, unless she's a good sport. I've heard it's so funny, but so crude, it almost makes you ashamed for laughing at certain things. So I look forward to watching it quite a bit.
i saw it on opening night here in the U.S. Lots of young ppl in the audience. At times everyone in the theatre was falling out of their chairs. Its been a long time since I've laughed that much at the movies. Not at certain spots. Pretty much throughout the whole movie. If you dont find crude humor funny dont bother. But otherwise this tops all the other stuff like jackass, etc.
