South Park is the best on the list, hands down. There was a time when The Simpsons was in the running but that was about ten years ago. Personally I think South Park is the best animated show of all time, and it proves that there's more to art than craft. Their simple, stupid, quickly-produced animation does not detract from the quality of the show at all, and is in fact part of its oddly charming naivete. The slick ones with all their computer graphics just look like the boring, sterile stuff on videogame screens.
Spongebob, which also has clever stories and avoids high-tech (as well as grossness), is also one of the best.
I'd also nominate South Park as the grossest. Ren and Stimpy had their moments and so did many others. But nobody consistently does "gross" like Parker and Stone. Frankly it's not one of the attributes that endears the show to me and sometimes I even turn it off, but I recognize that every artist is a professional and "professional" means you have to give your patrons what they ask for. I grudgingly appreciate Mister Hankey because he makes a social statement in a way that no other character could make it. But the rest of the jokes about anal probes and barfing and guts and sloppy killings just remind me that I will always be a member of the Crusader Rabbit and Howdy Doody generation.

Lol, you can draw a southpark episode on paint, well the main characters anyway.

Yeah, I found the movie strangely watchable.

Hentai
Hentai's not a serie, it's a type of series/show. Unless there's a show called "Hentai" now.
Urotsukidoji, maybe not the best but gross

I totally agree.

Mr hankey is the thing I hate about the show, just about eveything else is inspired original comedy virtuoso. The extreme nature of the show just puts the icing on the cake for me.

Family Guy, American Dad, and Southpark, are absolute crap. If I caught my kid watching that BS, I'd beat him with a steel pipe until he swore he would never even think of watching those miserable excuses of 'comedy'.
The more recent seasons of the Simpsons also sucks.
Futurama was witty and funny. Southpark is just a pile of steaming dog shit.

'Friends' sucks ass through a straw. So does American Dad, and Family Guy. The jokes in Family Guy are repetitive and lame, and are often drawn out in an attempt to make the episode run for the required time slot. I HATE HATE HATE Family Guy. Just another pile of steaming dog shit on my TV screen, along with crap like 'Survivor', 'Friends', 'Big Brother', 'Neighbours', 'Home and Away', 'Southpark', and a tonne of meaningless, lameass shit.

Best gross show?
South Park's the best on now.
However, Ren & Stimpy and I am Weasael were awesomely disgusting. Powerpuff Girls was very gory and violent, superbly so, combined with good character development and sly humor.
I think Cow & Chicken takes the prize, as the funniest and most outlandish of gross humor, and one of my favorite shows ever.

powerfuff girls
you have to be kidding me :D
Dawkins on South Park tonight having feces thrown at him by the sex changed schoolteacher.
(who he falls in love with, leading to a romance between the two).
Now that is gross
Not a TV series but more of an independent film house series:
"Spike & Mike's Sick & Twisted Animation Festival"
One of the early "Lloyd's Lunch Box" entries is pretty gross.

Have you ever watched it? Holy crap, it is so violent and gory. In one episode, bubbles, the little one, tears a monster's horn off and them jams it through said monster's trachea, with large amounts of green blood flowing, nay, gushing, from the wound. Other episodes are equally gory, and most of the episodes imply hundreds, and even thousands, of deaths, wherein 30-story tall monsters rampage through the city, smashing buildings, cars, and homes with wild abandon and wanton bloodlust, an attitude returned with interest by the girls, who brutally maul and slaughter monsters regularly. It is such a violent show, I'm surprised they let in air on CN.
Thus, it is a good show.:D
