Does anyone know what your legal status is at 17 under UK Law? Are you still a minor? Anyone know a website that tells you these things, I can't find one?
Oh. Sorry, I don't pay attention to things that don't affect me. I just need to know what will get me in trouble if I visit.
i'm not sure what you ar looking for but here is a start: http://www.google.com/search?num=100&hl=en&lr=&q=becoming a legal adult in the UK&btnG=Search
You can live by yourself at 16, own a house, pay bills, etc. Smoke at 16. You can marry in Scotland at 16. You need permission from parents in other parts of the UK until you're 18. You can drive a car at 17, with a licence, etc. You can't drink at 17. You can't get a mortgage, credit or loans until you're 18. You wouldn't go to a proper prison at 17. Not sure that's what you meant, but hey.
