I was wondering, roughly how many guys have been circumcised. It varies by culture, religion, anatomical need, etc, so what's your reason, if you'd care to tell us? I have a foreskin. It's good to have, I think. The only bad part can be if you're going for a wazz and forget to pull it back. It's a little messy. Females are excluded from the poll, sorry.
I wasn't sure people would want everyone else to know their foreskin situation. They can tell us if they do. That's great. Foreskins'r'us so far. 4 vs 3
Circumcised. In the US, at least when I was in high school, damn near 100% of males are. The only guy in gym class or showers after sports/whatever I ever saw who wasn't circumcised was an exchange student form Norway.
4 vs 4, the non-foreskinners are fighting back (not that it's a competition). Really, why was it the done thing?
I was joking really - I'm not that desperate to find out Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Circumcition disenstises the glans, which means that sex can last longer, but alcohol and marijuana can do the same thing and are far more enjoyable.
i've seen this discusion millions of times on another board... apparently, in the USA there is a culture for thinking that uncircumsized men are dirty, which is just stupid
Really? I've never heard of that. It's true, however, that uncircumsized penises are more prone to infection.
Smegma builds up without constant washing. I read somewhere that many men raised in sexually repressed households (which would pretty much include most of American history) never actually saw their glans. They were told to not touch themselves and traumatized so much about their penis that they wouldn't even peel the foreskin back for a scrubbing. Imagine the smegma. Ick. And the women weren't any better.
Once a day is good. Sometimes more. The problem in the old days (and possibly even now in some areas) is that people were so traumatized about their genitals that they didn't want to touch them even to clean them. Like I said, many men had never seen their glans. And these were middle-aged men. It was some doctor from... the 30's? 20's? 40's? I forget where my rambling researches dug this little factoid up from. Pretty fucking sick though.
well, that is pretty much in the past, so I don't see hygiene as a valid argument pro circumcision... if it was me, i'd need some serious motive to mutilate myself
I was circumcised as an infant. My folks gave me two explanations for it. 1. My dad's circumcised, so I should be too. The reasoning there was that my penis should look like my dad's so I wouldn't think I was a freak or something. 2. My mother's brothers were uncircumcised, and there were hygenic problems. My mom probably wasn't too keen on cleaning up baby smegma, either.
i can perfectly understand medical reasons like phimosis... but if your hygiene habits are as bad as to allow something like that to happen, i dont think your foreskin is your only problem
