(lock and delete thread if this has been done b4) Here's mine: <a href="http://img143.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=45416_Desktop_122_554lo.jpg" target=_blank><img src="http://img143.imagevenue.com/loc554/th_45416_Desktop_122_554lo.jpg" border="0"></a> Abit boring, the wallpaper is cool tho.
My desktop is all covered with icons rangin from pdf...to excel...to jpeg. The wallpaper is a tile of pictures of a face of girl all covered in makeup joker-style.
I have about 200 pictures of all kinds in a folder linked to a program that automatically changes my desktop every minute.
ADD, Sam? I go mostly for pictures from APOD: http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/archivepix.html or landscapes by Yann Arthus Bertrand: http://www.yannarthusbertrand.com/yann2/affichage.php or pictures I've taken myself.
Nah mine is an eclectic mix, all sorts of pics I like that I've taken, collected, downloaded, etc. Though I'm using some of Mr Anonymous' pics now, from the picture thread. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I have a pic of the swiss alps on my screen right now. White ground, white sky, white clouds, it's my personal itteration (spelling?) of heaven.
Eeeek.... You nasty un-eco-friendly people. You do realize that one of the most massive system-resource And energy hog is a busy desktop right???? Black.... no shortcuts... nothing.
Oh my God - thank you, geodesic! I used to use those Bertrand landscapes a lot as wallpaper, but lost the link a while back. Now, thanks to Sciforums (and you!), I have it back! You have no idea how much this means to me, as they really are fabulous, and have been sorely missed! I plan to harvest all my favourites before the link goes missing again! Everyone else should check 'em out too - they really are something special.
The tsingy of Bemaraha is a personal favourite, as is the Grand Prismatic Spring at Yellowstone. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
