Bindi Irwin is expected to eventually become the new face of Australia Zoo's advertising billboards in honour of her father's wishes and her own passion to continue Steve Irwin's legacy.

Although only 8 years of age the world has fallen in love with her infectious smile and love of wildlife which she has undoubtedly inherited from her much admired father the now legendary Crocodile Hunter and conservationist Steve Irwin.

About 300 million viewers worldwide are estimated to have tuned in and watched Bindi's address to the crowd at Australia Zoo. Internet bloggers have been filling up discussion forums with posted messages reflecting concern and amazement over the bravery of this little girl who stood before a packed Crocoseum to unfalteringly read out a self written tribute to her father.

There have been 133,011 visitors to You Tube's video 'Steve Irwin -by Bindi' and Bindi Irwin fan clubs are appearing everywhere. None of this is really surprising. Steve Irwin was headline news on CNN for an entire week and front page news in Australia for two weeks after his tragic death. So the interest in Bindi Irwin his daughter and heir is only to be expected.

Yet Steve Irwin was a late bloomer in the entertainment industry. His rise to stardom was slow and jerky having only begun a few years ago and ironically he was always far more famous and popular in America than his homeland of Australia. The future was looking very promising indeed but the degree of affection felt towards this charismatic adventurer was only fully realised by the media after he was taken from us and the public anguish became apparent in the form of wreaths, condolence letters and shock which virtually brought the country to a standstill and very nearly crashed the internet. The Australia Zoo website slowed down to a crawl as people in offices, homes and libraries attempted to verify the unbelievable news.

Now that Steve has gone on to the last great adventure of all, this attention has been redirected towards little Bindi Sue Irwin who until now was a cute but peripheral figure in the Crocodile Hunter story. Unlike Steve who started out on the road to stardom relatively late in his life, this third generation Crocodile Hunter who was literally born into television lights will be attempting to carry the legacy of a legend before she has even reached 9 years of age. Few doubt that she is either strong enough or smart enough to handle the challenge.

Australia has lost a crocodile hunter but gained a crocodile huntress.

OMG. That photo is truly upsetting. I didn't watch any funeral coverage so this is the 1st time I have seen his family since. I actually need to wipe my eyes.

I cried myself at one point. When Bindi was feeding an Elephant. It nearly knocked her over and she laughed. I have no idea why but that was the trigger. It just seemed so sad her Dad couldn't be there with her I suppose. He usually fed the Elephants in the mornings.

Do you have a link to this picture? I want to send it around. It is a tearjerker. The youngest child looks just like him!

Yes, So don't be a paparazzi and haunt or follow Steve's kids. They are to be whatever they may or may not turn out to be. Whatever is, is. So lets hope and pray that both his kids are able to have a "normal" childhood and grow-up without paparazzi-influence like this post suggests, so that they can be free to follow their own vocation without any undue influnce from others that they should be this-or-that. It is already a tremendous influence brought upon them by their father that they should be eco-daring-type wildlife ecologists, but we should not be encouraging them to grow up to be just like their father just because he had this very unfortunate incident. They should be allowed to attend school, complete high school, and have a free-choice in what they want to pursue in college, without ANY influence regarding how great of a man their father was. This is irrelevant to their education and future career. A man - or woman - does best at what they are meant to do, not what their father, grandfather, sister, brother, or relative did.

Bindi is just a spoilt little brat now, Steve once said that he wouldn't want her to start dating until she was 30!
I don't see her following in her father's footsteps instead maybe for media or television exposure!

Thanks for the link. It seems exploitive maybe wanting to email a photo like that of a family in grief and pain but it really is touching. I didn't know which of them was Bindi. Thanks. I still can't get over how much the little boy looks like Steve.

    Heh.
    Heh.
    Heh.

Was bored so went and checked the wikipedia page that was wrongly linked in Crocsrule's post.
    Here's the correct link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bindi_Irwin

    Anyway.
The link was pretty boring so went to check the discussion page to check out the drama that Crocsrules was going on about.
Was somewhat surprised to see the name of yale_s pop up. He is Universe Today's stalker.
I thought. Hmm. Could it be?
    And then. Sure enough.
    Crocsrules is Universe Today.
And he is apparently trying to link spam links into the wikipedia article. And bet that terrirwin site that is linked on the page he says is wikipedia is one of the spam sites.

    HEh.

    Funny stuff.

    What's up with this guy?
    You're a fruit, buddy.

The Wayne Smith and Yale_S show continues.
I oughta pm Yale and have him show up here to harrass him some more too.
Would people enjoy that I wonder?

    Heh.

Kinda sad how he's taking advantage of Steve's death to redirect to his newly purchased web sites though.
    Kinda despicable, in a way.

    Edit:
Ah. The original link is also a redirect...
    Funny.

Despicable? Fruit? Why am I always getting attacked at this forum?

Still have no idea why I was banned either. Only that Yales probably had something to do with it.

I had to point it somewhere while I await word from John Stainton.

Despite everything you've heard from my demented stalker Yales I'm not a bad guy. Just misunderstood. Call him over by all means. I won't be rising to his bait and will probably be banned by Porfiry or whichever Admin banned me last time.

You must think people are stupid.
Both of the sites you just posted are yours.
The first one is the one you posted in your first post. Redirects to Youtube.
The second one is the one you posted in your wikipedia link. I imagine you meant to redirect to Wikipedia, but must have had YouTube on the brain because that's where it redirects to.

Still got those sciforums addresses too?

    Anyway.
You're more funny than anything else.
I just don't get you, really.

    The king of the redirects.
Pretty weird guy, that's for sure.

But, taking advantage of Steve's death makes you more than just weird.

    Edit:
By the way. I don't think you are banned. There's no 'banned' in your user title anyway.
    http://www.sciforums.com/member.php?u=22608

Maybe you just EXPECTED to get banned and forgot to check?
    Funny.

In what way am I taking advantage of Steve's death? I have never profitted a cent from the internet in my entire life. It's just a hobby.

King of the redirects? I redirect sites because I don't own any websites of my own. I think visitors would rather look at a webpage than a nearly blank systems error page. What's wrong with having a little fun? I did pay for the domains after all.

Weird yes. I used to be a millionaire but after my divorce a few years back gave virtually everything to my ex. Now I'm just a swaggie travelling Australia without a care in the World. I spent the last 3 years out bush living off the land and right now I'm in Brisbane living from one day to the next. I suppose I could rejoin the rat race if I felt any compulsion to but why go through another decade of slaving away for nothing? I've lived all my dreams and seen things few people would ever believe.

Next time I visit this board it will probably be from the terminal of a different library so go ahead and ban me for no reason again. Whatever turns you on.

P.S I was definitely banned last time. That's why I stopped visiting for awhile. I went to sciforums.com and all I got was the message "You have been banned." I assumed you would know more but I guess no explanation was given at the board. Probably Porfiry then.

Not to mention their hideous personalities. I married a Japanese.

When I worked as a volunteer with the Crocodile Team at Australia Zoo I saw a lot of American women. All fat with funny shaped heads. Ever notice that?

    Because bindiirwin.com was available.
    Steve died.
His daughter has the potential to become famous and thus need a site of her own.
She goes to the registrar thinking, "Hey. BindiIrwin.com would be a good one. Let's see here... Oh. Someone owns it already. I wonder if they'd be willing to sell it?"
Or. You send her emails or whatever offering to sell it to her.

It's a common technique. I forget the name... cybersquatting, maybe?

You did the same with TerriIrwin.com.

Why buy up these domains? For the fun of it? What's so fun about it?

Anyway. Whatever. I'm no Yale_s. I just find it kinda funny, is all.
You have an MO all your own.

I still have this feeling that you and Yale are the same guy and the whole drama is just a big put on.

    Obviously.

Seeing as I've already said that "I purchased it to keep it out of the hands of Cybersquatters", you must have an incredibly shortspan memory.

"You did the same with TerriIrwin.com."

I don't own TerriIrwin.Com and these unfounded accusations are assuming the worst.

"Why buy up these domains? For the fun of it? What's so fun about it?"

The fun of handing them over to their namesakes after they request them.

"Anyway. Whatever. I'm no Yale_s. I just find it kinda funny, is all.
You have an MO all your own."

Glad you are amused. That's the whole point of the exercise. Amusement. I'm just surfing Bud. No evil intent. Never a soul harmed. Being accused of Phishing for passwords by Yales made me see red last time I was here but he was spamming the board with that same identical posting in every thread of every forum I participated at.
I'm guessing Yales disapeared shortly after I was banned? Told you so. He only came here to Troll.

"I still have this feeling that you and Yale are the same guy and the whole drama is just a big put on."

I see where you are going. Opposites frequently have a lot in common. All I can do is assure you I'm not Yales and would probably kill myself if I was. Yales is a malevolent manipulative creature full of hate and lies. I'm only mischievous. He impersonated me at Space.com using a name similar to my own and then proceeded to plaster the place with porn images. The idiots over there fell for it and have been libelously accusing me of this crime ever since. I know it was him because nobody else would go to such extremes to villify me. He did something similar at a Nazi forum. I got revenge by doing an impersonation of him here at SciForums using the actual username of 'Yales'. The difference being that my impersonation was done in good taste. I merely mimicked his anti-nuclear ravings. Even his friends thought it was him. Just a bit of fun and it had its desired effect. He completely lost it. Hilarious.

I emailed Australia Zoo shortly after purchasing the domain BindiIrwin.Com and I have no plans to sell it to Bindi Irwin. That makes 3 times I've spelled it out. If I hadn't secured it then I can guarantee a Cybersquatter most certainly would have gobbled it up. Having worked for Steve Irwin, the thought of profitting from his death sickens me.

    Oops.
    My bad. TerriIrwin.org. Not com.
    Sorry about that.

As to you just handing them over... Cool. Sounds real nice of you.

I don't have a clue if you're telling the truth or not.
    Doesn't really matter anyway.

She's going to be an australian movie star, and eventually star in hollywood movies. This is what happens to kids in the limelight.

    Excellent news, Wayne.

They are ready to get the transfer of domains.

You simply let them know that you are transferring "bindiirwin.com" , bindisueirwin.com , and TerriIrwin.org

    E-mail your permission to:

    transfers@domainsite.com

    They will contact:

    info@australiazoo.com.au

Thats it. Gone in 60 seconds.

By the way, you should also transfer "sciforums.info"

The one you created after porfiry banned your other IDs.

It also wouln't hurt if you returned the cybersquats to the real persons listed here:

A bunch of people are on Wayne Watch. My turf is a few science boards (plus random sightings) while most others monitor specific boards, like 'rxke" at the Mar's Society "newmars.com" board or "yevaud" at "uplink.space.com" or 'orstio" at "everything-science.com" , etc.

Freaking waste of time, but he eventually craps out any board where he is left to his own devices.
