What do kids, dogs and guns too often have in common?

Kids, guns and dogs too often control their parents and their owners. It's apparently symptomatic of the seemingly unrelated, increasing social turbulence. (If you don't take control of your life, sure as hell, some other person or thing will.)

How do guns control anyone? That's like saying a hammer controls a person!

Idiotic post at best ....piles of horse shit at the worst!

Hope it didn't hurt? But if it did, please take two aspirin, rest in bed and call me in the morning, okay?

Well you could suggest without Parenting, Kids will shoot dogs with guns

Of course you could say that perhaps the Kid felt threatened by the dog with the gun, but who knows.

I think owning a gun can bring out the dark side of someone's personality. There's a vague spiritual notion in there somewhere about technology and the power it has over us because we're in awe of it or because we don't understand it. But it's a little bit too much woo-woo to say the inanimate object controls the person.

A really strong alpha dog and a really deferential beta human? Well okay, we joined our two species into a single community around fifteen thousand years ago and we've spent all that time learning to understand and communicate with each other. So a person can conceivably give control over himself to his dog.

And if he can cede it it to a dog he can certainly also cede it to a child. Many of them are very good manipulators.

You critics are talking about well balanced people. They are (ostensibly) not the issue here. Of course when they have control of their lives they don't let inanimate or unknowing things or immature beings preclude their reasoning.

The dissenting critiques are statements of the obvious - Refer, The Art of Missing the Point: When you Cannot Afford - or Choose Not - to Catch on.
Such responses only reinforce the sobriquet subject. Fragglerock's response is the only sincere one of the lot.

    P.S.
Dear vslayer: Baron Max purloined the aspirin joke from Truly Yours (It's apparently the best he could do - another exemplary failed filching of my work. There's a lot of that going and coming around.
