The tank is run by one 35Wpump for foam fractionation and 35W light i custom made which is actually ten small lcd's. The rock is all real old (over 10 years old), it was dry and dirty so i bleached it.
and i was expecting a marlin hanging by its tail and you with a big grin on your face. what do you think of MY fish? http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=124172
Those are some awesome fish. I could never keep Marine though, too much skill. I'll have to stick with my 37g freshwater. One of the best websites for aquarists is www.fishprofiles.com , in my opinion.
For those with ponds: rosy minnows Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Replaced an old Koi with twenty rosy minnows, maybe a year ago - now there are thousands of them! They share the pond with the usual collection of water beetles, as well as frogs and dragonfly larvae. I don't know if there are still diving beetles, but there used to be.
Yeah, the thing is it's a daily commitment. For me with SW aquarium's i am not really a fan of the industry, mainly because propagation hasn't become mainstream and wanted to use only tank raised fish and keep it as natural as possible with no chemicals or mechanical filter's. I have a fairly decent background in biology so i just concentrate on basic parameter's now after 6mo's it a viable system. Though did use bacterial additives to help it, figured it was needed. Some fish dont adapt well and are hard to keep yet you see them for sale...stupid. The fish (3 in 60gal.) i used will feel as if they belong 'cause that's all they know, well exceppt for the yellow one cause he's wild but guess he's happy. The two in the second post are cool and are tank raised, they stick together. The Goby's mouth was so small i didn't know if he was able to eat but he is bigger now. The black Damsel has no fear and when i stick my hand in attack's me when i go near his home..., soon i will be able to hand feed him, but want to be able to put him in my hand for massage Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! geodesic: Nice pond, wish i had the property for one.
I used to have a freshwater tank. After we moved, we no longer had room for our 30 gallon tank (or maybe it was bigger, I don't remember). Someday, after I'm done with school and I get my own place, I'll start up another aquarium. Maybe even a saltwater tank. I had these fish back when my aquarium was running: Needlenose gar Black ghostknife Plecostomus an Oscar in a separate tank as well as several others that I don't know the names of.
Awesome. I love aquariums. I have a small freshwater with some mollies, angelfish an albino sucker fish and some weird see-through fish. I wish I had the time to devote to a saltwater tank but I just don't. Very cool John99 Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Thanks for the comment's guy's. Yeah its a goby, he was the size of the tip of my finger when i got "him". For some reason I allway's gravitate towards the smallest animals. One time i bought a mini pinscher dog to get him out of the pet shop, all the other dogs were climbing over him howling and shit so i took him home and ended up giving him to a friend with two daughters, another friend wanted him but he had a two year old son and I didn't want the dog to end up getting tortured. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Two week's ago the pet shop had 3 tiny chihuahua's in a cage, i played with them for awhile let them chew my finger's. Went back a week later and all three were gone...they were $1,700 :bugeye:
