    Makes one think of sex.

It's the same reason why guys love girls cutsey whimpering because it reminds them of them having an orgasm.

Uh... you're listening to too much hip-hop and R&B. It's been decades since love was a major topic in rock and roll lyrics.

    It's mostly lack of imagination.

If you want to fill in a gap in your song lyric, adding in a "yeah!" or "baby!" is a tried and true method. Lazy, but not uncommon.

It's because those words are very versatile and very, uhm, vowel-esque? Vowel-icious? It's basically like humming or just singing non-words to fill in space.

We can sure show the rest of the world how to write a good song. Apparently Cliff Richards is going to launch the continous repetition of yeah baby yeah to the music of onward christian soldiers this Christmas.

There are also fucking sounds in the songs, very sexual-arising!

I suppose if you count songs like the Killers' "Somebody Told Me" or Nickelback's "Figure You Out" you could say they're about love, but it's pretty dysfunctional love. Nobody is going ooooh baby baby on those tracks.

Or maybe John Mayer's "Your Body is a Wonderland"? Sara McLachlan's "Possession"?

I got it: "Bitch" by Meredith Brooks.
