    Does your tv have HDMI inputs?

    If not, I wouldn't bother. I'm going to wait until HD-DVD is more mainstream and the prices have dropped. I'm sure they'll let you play normal DVD's too. And I'll be waiting 'til I have some money of course

    it will improve you video alot, if you have a tv with HD inputs.
    it won't improve on the audio that much.

    No you dont need HDMI, use RGB if you can.
