The fact of the matter is we were not attacked in the Tonkin Gulf (That our Government used to Justify us attacking Vietnam)

As a result, over a 100,000 thousand Americans died, over a 1,000,000 Vietnamese died. And Thousands more injured and disabled.

Does the NSA have some kind of timed release of these documents...to insure that everyone involved is dead before the truth comes out?

Imagine the stinky stew that will ooze out of the Bush administrations in 32 years. Yes, here's another example of recently declassified article dated 1962!. This Government Sponsored Terrorist Plot was titled "Operation Northwoods". Here's a brief summary of the documents contents.

"Approved by the top Pentagon chiefs, Operation Northwoods proposed fabricating terrorism in US cities and killing innocent citizens to trick the public into supporting a war against Cuba in the early 1960s. Operation Northwoods even proposed blowing up a US ship and hijacking planes as a false pretext for war. The conspiracy regarding the Gulf of Tonkin incident is already well known, but it should be pointed out that just because there was one conspiracy, that doesn't prove anything about other conspiracies.

 

Yes it does, because as soon as you accuse traitors in your Government of Crimminal acts. You'll automaticly get "You hate your Country" or "Your siding with the Terrorist" label. And people allways say Conspiracies theories are never based on fact etc. But no, not EVERYONE knows that our reason to going to Vietnam was a like. Not the Conservatives atleast.

It's really interesting to me that y'all will avidly believe ONE government report, yet claim that another report is "just government propoganda" or some such bullshit. Why is that, guys? Surely you're not guilty of biased selection, are you?

What's the deal? How can y'all tell which government report to believe and which ones not to believe? And that not only applies to "government reports", but other such reports as well ....like UN reports, news media reports, human rights reports, etc., etc.?
