The only people between Dr. Phil and Springer is that his guests are typically middle class as opposed to Springer's lower-end guests. They're just as pathetic, they make you scream at them because they're not right in the head, but they have a higher standard of living, thus they can relate to the middle class, so it gets more hype and better advertizing than Springer.
