I work in a dental lab. We make false teeth and other dental prosthetics, among them retainers. We often get requests for a particular color, usually some shade of green, but purple is not uncommon. My question is this: Why do you care what color your retainer is? I mean, do you go around showing them off or something?

I suppose part 2 is what's with the desire for 'poop green', which seems to be the shade of choice around here? (Yes, that's the way the color is often described by the patients.)

I wish I could contribute an answer, but for me, it inspired another question: Do women who wear shoes all the time still paint their toenails?
