I liked the other thread started by Arguibus, so I thought I would expand into some other genres. Mine would have to be "Windownlicker" by Aphex Twin. I had some friends that listened to techno before I really latched on, but I was never really interested in house or club type music, with the same "Thump Thump Thump Thump" and synthetic melody of some sort. Windowlicker is really more of a song, and while there are no words, it does have singing and a song form. Also, Prodigy's "Fat of the Land" album, but that I kind of liked seperately, it didn't propel me to listen to other techno.
For Jungle techno, Original Nuttah. Bootodabeat and kick up the pace, how much more can you take... Jungalinovah live and its all ovah What about up the gangstaist, what about up dah evil up skizm, jump up while you ride the rhythm...
For Eurodance: I have listened to dance music like Ace of Base since I was a kid, and that spread over and fueled my love of Eurodance. I remember getting an Eiffel 65 album back in '99 or 2000, for the song "Blue." For Trance: I started liking Trance techno a few years ago, but I'm not sure what specific song it was. I remember getting the Essential Trance Collection dual-disc set and loving it. Shortly after that I got a few mix discs from a friend. The first song I really remember liking (and listening to over and over again!) would have to be "Carte Blanche" by Veracocha (i.e. Ferry Corsten and Vincent De Moor).
