I wish to present an idea a friend and I have been discussing. I was curious as to what the minds of sciforums think of it: Computers are becoming used more and more throughout the whole United States. My friend and I think that there must be some way to use this technology of the internet and cell phone communications to cast votes on anything that comes up. I think the possibilities are great. By having everyone vote on things we would decrease the power of the senate and increase the power of the people, checks and ballances are still needed, there must be a way to somehow directly incorperate the public into the voting on bills and ammendments. The closest thing we have to this is: www.truemajority.org Which sends emails to its members and then the members send email-faxes to their congressmen. (or on occasion the people are asked to make calls) What do you guys think?
