I debated on whether or not I would put Newton or Einstein on my list, but since it is arbitrary I sided on not modernizing my list too much undermining the age of civilization.

Also not being a religious person I used my objective outlook on history and felt religion has by far had the most impact on culture and society throughout the world as we know it.


Maybe someday people will be saying Stephen William Hawking, rises to the top of their list

but if it wasnt for jesus and muhammed, then christianity and islam would never have been introduced, with their respective deities... so they take the place of the dieties for the purpose of this excercise.

btw, if you have the founders of christianity and islam, then why not buddhism, hinduism, judaism etc...
