HELP! venus' retrograde rotation

I have a question that I don't understand....

Venus undergoes retrograde rotation. This means that, if you were looking down on the solar system from above the Earth's north pole, Venus is rotating ___ on its axis while revolving ___ around the sun.



I'm guessing that it goes counterclockwise, clockwise... but i'm unsure.

Can anyone please help?

When seen from above the North pole, the Earth rotates in a counter clockwise direction. That's why the sun and stars appear to rise in the East (your left) and set in the West (your right).

Venus, being retrograde, rotates in the opposite direction. Clockwise.
