Sciforums on IRC

    one of the guys here posted a message saying that sciforums used to be on irc?

    channel #sciforums


    is that true?
    well i logged on there was nothing so was wondering....

    I don't think anyone was interested.
    I imagine whoever it was that was keeping the channel open got bored with it and logged off long ago.

    Well yes, I said that there used to be "some" of us, and I use "some" in a very limited sense, I think at a maximum, there where about four or five people, now I only drop in once a month or so, usually Xerxes was there, but I suppose no one really came there anymore.

    In fact, I only mentioned it in the case of another sciforums downtime.

    I got into the old irc channel quite often but there was hardly ever anyone else in there. I spend enough time in the forums I don't think I'd bother with irc again...

    I'll keep it open again if anyone else is interested in idling. My shell is on 24/7.
