But after the construction in the Asteroid Belt it would probably be best to move the new home out of the Asteroid Belt and into open space to live.

Just thinking--stopping the spin of an asteroid would be a very good way of stuffing them up badly--either doing so or threatening to do so would be the ultimate form of terrorism in the Flying City areas of the asteroid belts in the late 21st century onwards.
