After searching online for other FOIA requests similar to mine, I actually came across an image that was rather unique. Firstly, I've never seen it before. Secondly, it's rather interesting and bizzare in what it shows. Below is the image that caught my eye. This image is what I will call the Steckling version! (From: http://www.gafintl-adamski.com/html/Moon.htm)

Okay, I thought surely other official sites have a better look at this feature!

    First original I located: http://www.lpi.usra.edu/resources/lunar_orbiter/images/aimg/iv_157_h3.jpg

:bugeye: I have seen this image before and always took it for an image defect, but the steckling version suggests there was NO defect.. In fact his image shows the area perfectly. With an exception of it's low quality.

So I went and found the highest quality Lunar Orbiter image site I know of and found an even better original located: http://astrogeology.usgs.gov/Projects/LunarOrbiterDigitization/data/4157_h3_raw.tif.gz (Warning very large .tiff file!)

It's basically a blown-up version of the same fraud from the atlas.

Okay.. great now I have an official image to compare the two. Below is the "official version".

    - What the hell? You're telling me that some guy by the name of Fred Steckling has the more detailed version of this photo, but not NASA? He put the image in his book, http://www.gafintl-adamski.com/html/Moon.htm.

Can anyone explain why the Steckling version has so much descriptive detail, and the higher quality official version is blotted out with a fake image error?

I can't figure out how he could have such a detailed version, and none of the NASA sites feature the same detail...

If that image is the product of fooling around with photoshop, that's the biggest and best conspiracy ever thought up and executed. Really, the edges of the figures look a bit too clean-cut in comparison with the surroundings; especially in the first image. And in the second one the figures are inverted. Wow, how creative.

It's more healthy to not be paranoid about things. Just wanted to let you know.

Yes, I agree. When compared with your response.. though, what he wrote in no way gets NASA off the hook.

Is NASA the one who inverted it, or are you trying to say I inverted it?

The only image of the two that actually looks edited is the NASA ONE. The first one does not look faked at all.

What do you mean inverted? I just INVERTED both images in photoshop and I don't notice anything earth shattering.

Is this just some hard-wired, typical attempt to "defend NASA" at Sciforums?

What certifications have you to judge what is fake and what is not?
Or is it just your subjective oppinion?

The government is your friend. It's very good to be a cooperative citizen , Mr. Timsah. Thank You.

NASA is a great benifitor to our scientifical knowledge and it has done much to advance our civilization into the frontiers of space. You should be very grateful for all what NASA has done in your own best interests.
Support NASA the best you can and it will support you!

My thoughts in this particular case are of no value, Mr. Timsah.
I don't have a degree in geology, photography or anything related.
But my personal and uneducated guess is that the second one looks quite altered by some artificial software manipulation methods.

What is a better source for images from space than the official organisations? Have someone outside the official organisations gone to space to fetch some pics (of aliens and their structures)? It is possible that NASA lies, but then you must accept the equal possibility that other individuals and UFO folk lie as well.

Great job, agent Avatar. Keep it up

That's good. I said I was uneducated in geology and photography. Thus your agreement with me doesn't speak good of your own education.
    Nothing to see here.

By the way, I have nothing against the people working at NASA. It would not be their fault if they had to alter images due to the DOD.

What I am trying to get at is how two images, from the same location, can look so different? The one thats the official NASA version looks less realistic than some fuzzy ancient one I found on an old website.

    Why?

The ancient one is recorded using now obsolete for this purpose technology.
Thus it has more clarity errors.

So, does anyone else have anything of substance?

As it stands now, I still don't know what exactly is next to that crater.

Baring the mental case that is Avatar.

Just because the pesky Russians overtook our WMD factory!
Needless to say that the security of our now stealthed MOON-WF-2 is highly enchanted.
