When speaking in astronomical terms, what is really the difference between intensity and flux? I've been searching the net for answers, but I can't come to any other conclusion than that they are differnet words for the same thing. Joules per square length unit per time unit.

    I Appreciate any help, thanks!

I find the same thing. It also seems to vary with the area of science you're talking about. Astronomy definition seems different from general physics, etc...
