Just wanted to say hello to everyone - I'm new to this forum.
Does anyone read Arthur Schopenhauer's books?

Seems like we lost you..??
Still, if you opened the thread...
I'm wondering what is your opinion about Schopenhauer's definition of religions ("religions are the metaphysics of the crowd") ?
And rde, what did you REALLY want to say?

Talk about lost.....it took me 4 years to get back to you. Are you still there?

I think it's pronounced Shope-en-hower.
Wow. This is probably the oldest resurrected thread, ever.

Yes the pronounciation is correct I do believe as previously posted. I only found my post via a google search and suddenly I remembered why I'd joined this group - because I wanted to talk with like-minded individuals! Glad to see people are here! I've been reading Schopenhauer's Prize Essay on the Freedom of the Will. Has anyone else here read it? It's so mind-boggling you have to take notes.
