    If viscosity is a resistance to sheer forces - wouldn't an object eventually slow down in space?

    My theory of gravity goes something like this:
    the universe, in spherical geometry, is expanding from the big bang with increasing rate(acceleration). this acceleration of space-time causes the inertia of matter to warp space-time like a finger poking an inflating balloon. However, I still can't explain why inertia exists, so it’s not very good.

    I have no math to back this up, just a hairbrained sceem I thought of while trying to sleep.
