You only really need Right Ascension; this is one of the coordinate measurements used to locate the stars and other heavenly bodies in the sky. Right ascension is usually but not always expressed in hours and minutes, as it is dictated by the rotation of the Earth, and is measured along the Celestial Equator. This is similar in concept to longitude.

The other coordinate is Declination, at right angles to the Equator; it is similar in concept to latitude. Declination is usually measured in degrees.

Oblique ascension has to do with the time of the rising of the star, and isn't used much in astronomy, biut it does get used in astrology.
