    Not sure where this belongs...

Been reading a lot on ELE (Extinction Level Events) and such, and I came across

    http://www.armageddononline.org

    and

    http://www.xs4aall.nl/~mke/

Some of the scenarios seem plausbile, a lot's based on science... Do some of those theories hold water? (not the nostradamus stuff...) The Asteroid Impact and hypernova / black hole articles are somewhat scary...

    Thoughts?

Anyone got any more info / places to go things to do?

There's several threads in here somewhere about the yellowstone supervolcano...

Can i give you some advice?
Be wary of posting links to sites dealing with Roswell/conspiracy theories in here...then asking if people can tell you where to go and what do to... because they will

Asteroids could happen. Hypernova? Not sure there are stars big enough in the immediate area. Neither are there black holes near us.

Go to observatories nearby and ask them those questions.

Black holes which are not members of binary pairs would be very difficult to detect, and may exist in quite large numbers; but it is still very very unlikely that any exist close enough to affect our solar system. The same is true of type 1a supernovae precursors, which would be quite difficult to detect, but there is no evidence of any in the region of our solar system.

    hum,
There’s a 100% chance that a big asteroid will hit us.
In addition, Yellowstone looks like its set to blow.

However, i put a pandemic ahead of both to put an end to most humans.

An artificial one would be worse; hopefully it will not come to that.

No; I vote for replacement by robots; and some would say a jolly good thing too.
