This is for anyone who's interested:

Sometime around Saturday, I can't say exactly because of the time offset around the world but I think that anyone who owns a copy of starcraft (not starcraft: brood war) should join up and play over battle.net. I'll host the game unless someone out there who wants to join has a cable connection or DSL or something. For any newbies out there this is how battle.net works:

When you first come to the chat room click on 'join game.'
When you come to the list of games there is a box on the right. type the name of the thread-without the explanation points into the box. For password type: oedipus.
You should be able to join. We can play with up to eight players, and Banshee's son and I are the ones currently signed up.

And yes, he CAN speak english, he plays with everybody on the Net, in english, when they talk to eachother, in writing that is, as you know. So he can even write english, haha.
So come on, what time starts your morning?
I won't back off until you have played my son, because maybe, you don't dare...

The idea you give here is great. A lot of Sci forum members can play eachother then. Can I follow that some how? Or only for people who are playing or so? You have to send it over the Internet. Then we can all look, nice. Do that...Put it on the Net, so we can see.
By the way, does my kid have to become a member here to play with you guy's here?
Or can anybody join?

No of course not, he doesn't have to become a member here. I'm sorry but I doubt that we can post the game while it's in progress, but we can take some pictures while it's running and post them later. YOU banshee could look over his shoulder from time to time.

I think it has to do with hormons, but ok, you two can make a nice appointment, then you 'kill' my lovely son in the game and I am happy and laugh at him for weeks, or I will be laughing at you for weeks. Haha.

But I think this one game, between Shrike and [dT]Lock'n Load, is one on one, but online, haha. A lot of ooooo's here.

You can play along with the rest of course, why not? I thought the meaning of this was that every weekend, there are games to be plaid.
So you can join, of course you can join.
Ask Shrike, he is the organizer of this.

I'd be honored to join. What I'm hoping for, above all, is a challenge! ;) I have a DSL connection and would prefer playing original Starcraft with the 1.08 update - but of course you are the final decision. You may know this already, but with that version, you can record your game, watch it later, and pull screenshots off it as well. You can also do it by simply pressing Alt+Prnt Scrn after installing a Blizzard image viewer.

My only concern is the timeframe - Saturday is a big day. It would be ultra fantastic if we could throw a time out there, be it Eastern, Central, or international time. Just so we have some sort of order. But I'm glad to be a part of history in the making.

I have broodwar, so does dividivad. I'm hoping Soupir does too it's just that banshee said that you <i> didn't </i> have broodwar, but that's okay I won't press charges.

I used to be good, then I stopped, now I'm in the realm of being good. I've got a few tricks up my sleeve though. What map should we play? I'm opened to suggestions, but I'm leaning towards Island Hop or BGH.
