Could you possibly enlarge the size of maximum pixels? I got a few avatars from another site, one of them's 60 by 80 pixels. Is it possible, and do you know of a site-besides the one you mentioned under announcements and how-to's-that has avatars that fit the size limitations? A site with cooool avatars?

I tend to use Paintshop Pro to stretch or shrink any images, including my avatar (which is actually a preportion of the Neuromancer book cover in England, which I've adapted)
I also shrink most images I place on my server for ease on bandwidth restrictions (Most images are about 200 or 300 Pixels wide. I mention this as I do create images to try and explain things sometimes, and I know what a nightmare a page is to load if you have more than one image that's anything over 100kb in size each. Since on a 56k modem 100kb is approx. 20 secs load time.)
Perhaps you could convert your image to 46W X 60H if you want to keep the ratio, or just stretch it a little with a paint package.

Yeah I thought about doing that but the thing is our compy decided to stop letting us use the internet a few weeks ago and we had to do a system restore. I think we had adobe photoshop and corel photo paint, but I'm not sure if I could shrink any images with ms works.
Like my new title?

Yes, your new title is very becoming. :)
Anyways, I'm not going to change the limits -- I'm worried that they're already too large as it is. The larger they are, the most distracting they are. There is a need to preserve the general aesthetic of the site, and that includes small(er) avatars. Sorry.
If you really want to put in a larger image, note that you can embed images in your signature (like stryder is doing) -- but don't go crazy or I'll have to regulate that as well.

I had a look round and I manged to find a site that allows you to edit an image online through your browser (as long as the image is under 150kb and saved in .gif format)
http://www.gifworks.com/
I hope you find that handy (and anyone else that wants to change their images or resize if need be.

np porfy, and again thanks stryde. I'm in the process of checking out that website. You'll know if it worked if you see a new image under my name. I totally understand where you're coming from porf.
