The previous such thread was delebrately Locked by some moderator.

Please suggest on how to get rid of moderators without getting rid of moderation.

Give actual links with explainations if you know of any.

Do you think SF owners will use this thread to make any changes ? or will they just ignore us ?

Please read the following for hints.

Compared to another science forum we are out of date in features and bandwidth. They have larger avatar limits, signatures, chat rooms, more sub-forums and even sub-sub-forums!

I don't see moderators going obsolete on other forums, perhaps examples?

And yes this thread will be close by a sane moderator.

I don't think that the moderators are the issue. It's the influx of stupidly chatty, completely ignorant, and utterly worthless posters that we've had the last year. And, our inability to ban them.

Indeed, maybe an entirely text based forum would attract more intellectual minded members.

If Profiry had time, I wish we just had 'skins'. That way you'd be able to choose.

There's mods that do this, but this forum is already modded, and they might not mesh.

Your last thread was locked because the poll had closed and you were unable to generate support for your idea. Perhaps unfortunate, but it happens. That does not mean you get to continue creating polls for the same issue, ad nauseum. You might try again in a few months or so.

:m: Call me insane - thread closed.
