After reading this brief thread: http://www.sciforums.com/showthread.php?t=41537
I was wondering, do any world leaders or celeberties actully visit and/or post on sciforums?
Now don't go around claiming you are Paris Hiltion or something like that, but really? What do you think?

thats a question i have been thinking about alot lately, are there world leaders or celebrities here on sciforum.
I think there is a chance that one of the 11thousand must be one.

But if there are any, do they post often? But we have no clue as to who they are? Or are they just hiding in the dark and simply only reading the forums and not participating?

World leaders are rather busy people. I don't think they have much time to play around on sciforums.

I am seldom forgotten wherever I go. I was once seen on local TV news, entering a failing independent cinema. Do these facts make me a celebrity?
If I had to guess at possible celebrity forumites: I would think RosaMagika is a famous diplomat, Dreamwalker a novelist, WellCookedFetus perhaps a boyband singer, Edufer a South American politician, Sargentlard a sumo wrestler, and Hotsexyangelprincess a drag queen...
Dreamwalker

Dreamwalker

Which god?
(this is sooo cesspool-bound...)
No really, I do not think that any world leader browses here, they should have other things to do, but maybe a leader of some small country would spend some time here...for example the president of Palau, he looked like he had pretty much time. But then again, he can spend his time swimming in the island paradise he governs...

and one of my brothers had a breif job as the DJ for his primary scholl radio station, it got shut down coz it cost too much

I'm a computer technician for my job (a real job). I could have been one of those dramoid "sound and lighting" technicians but do you realise that you're putting hours of work into something for nothing? You're being used.
Just a thought to put you an your merry way.

Once when I was younger, I was in a chat room and pretended to be Eminem's wife (ex?) while talking to someone . . . I wanted to play with their head . . . They didn't believe me.
Don't ask why I decided on Mrs. Mathers. Even I don't know why.

If there are famous &/or powerful people among us forumites, they are more likely to be some of those who posted once or twice and then forgot about it. After all, they probably have better things to do.

do you think the world leaders have a forum? of their own, where they can falme at eachother anomimously so no wars get started? nice.

Ahem. There *are* no world leaders, if you think on it. The bigger the state they represent, the easier they can be replaced, and regularly are...
They are simple puppets of economic forces and popular demands. :p
China has a good record on long standing leaders ;)

Maybe this specific discussion will be retreived from the astronomical archives of digital media, a generation or so from now - by then, some of the habitually online Internet generation might have become globally influential figures, just as Athelwulf plans to.
Or, who knows, it might be better to look for current and future world leaders among the obsessive strategicians at Civilization Fanatics Centre (http://forums.civfanatics.com/)...

Yeah, Chinese are wise... although except Mao most are almost nameless and faceless...
:p
About 'astronomical' internet archives... Try looking for Abu Ghraib lately on Google?
Gone with the wind...
