Tried suprnova.org? I never looked for stuff you're asking about, but that site is loaded with all kinds of things.

Alright, I have downloaded a program, and now when I try to open it it asks what I want to open it with. Do I need to download some program to open these type of files?

I want to edit mp3 and wav files. I might use it for midi, but not till later. So I downloaded Sound Forge, Acid, and Adobe Audition from Supernova.org, but I can't open of install them. When I try to it asks what I would like to open them with. I have tried everything. Is there something that I have to download from supernova? This is the first time that I have used it.

do you want to work in wave form or what? becuase both of those programs the wave form editing really sucks. it is actually only a projected idea of what it might look like. if you want something that is pretty good in wave form you should look at getting goldwave , its free and it is pretty goood.

Sony bought Sound Forge from Sonic Foundry. It is still called Sound Forge.

Adobe bought Cool Edit Pro from Syntrillium and renamed it Audition.

what you have download is proberly a torrrent file, you need Bit Torrent or one of its many child programs, to download the real files

I have downloaded bitorrent from bitconjurer.org ,now when I try to open it, I get the message: "To use Bit Torrent, find a web site which uses it, and click on the appropriate links." Where do I find these links on the Supernova.net site? I can't figure it out.

you don't open bittorent, you open the torrent file and the program launches all by itself
as for your inability to find links to .torrent files on suprnova.org .....
    you need treatment

    WinRAR!!!!

You need WinRAR to open just about any torrent file you download.
You should be able to find WinRAR in one of those torrent sites.
I have it, so if you know how I can send it to you, IM me.

Pardon, I thought you were well acquainted with these things.
http://bittornado.com/ download program, install. when you launch it, it asks you for the file you wish to download. The torrent file you got from a torrent site is merely something you use to download the entire program, it is not the program itself.
