Browsing through these boards and it struck me that the term black hole mis-represents the phenomena. "Black hole's" attract matter from all sides - they are not holes more like balls of extremely high mass where matter is compacted So why do theroist's suggest that the matter that enters a black hole is expelled elsewhere? heres a quick thought that just entered my head (which may not work if a black hole was spherical: What would happen if there was a particle of anti-matter that existed just outside of our space time continuim ( possibly within a duel universe ) lets say that at some places within our space/time there are areas of weakness - where the boundery of the duel universe is at its weakest. At these points the matter from this universe and the anti from the duel universe would be atracted. Both particles would be contantly trying to break the barrier and may reduce in size this action would attract more matter on either side and voila over time we have a black hole. All it would take is for 1 particle to cross the boundery and we would have a very big bang ( may happen when the combine total mass of each universe is trying to break through ) look at the ying - yang symbol ( it can be used as a visual representation of what I suggest may be happening) Again these are my ideas and probably should be seen as fiction rather than truth but ill let you make your own minds up.

One thing I have heard about black holes is that in GR all world lines lead to the singularity, if that helps.
