I was looking for a Antivirus and a Firewall both easy to use (nice user interface sort of thing) (NOT NORTON) that uses low system CPU and memory
and that indeed does the job

PS: I will use the firewall on my pc but I also have 2 more pc's connected to mine through ethernet and those 2 pcs also have to be able to connect to the net

The best I have found is PC illin. ( I know terrible name)

It found viruses that norton missed. It has a decent firewall that is a little customizable and tells you about attacks, etc. It is all in one interface and not convoluted like norton. Doesnt take near the resources norton hogged. Plus it doesnt screw up your pc like norton. Which is nice.

I got it free with my MB. Not sure how much it costs but it cant be much.

    AVG for antivirus www.grisoft.com
and Sygate Personal Pro for firewall
(Agnitum is also very good, but eats a bit more resources)
Panda is the best antivirus imho , but I don't know how much resources it consumes.

IMO, a router is the best firewall you can use.

Zone alarm is pretty good, although they have spazzed up the interface, somewhat.
For low CPU and memory resources the best AV is eTrust antivirus. It has a simple, conventional interface. With status bars and standard menus, like back in the old days. It uses no more than 10meg ram on my puter and is muchfaster than the others(does about 28000 files every 5min). For windows it does quite well at virusbtn.
